Moonlight
“Quiet in a way that made me sit very still. The diner scene in the last third is where it caught me properly.”

The Substance
“Extremely effective and extremely tiring. I watched most of the final act through my fingers and would not do it again.”

Poor Things
“Astonishing to look at and about half an hour longer than my patience. The Lisbon section is where I started drifting.”

Blade Runner 2049
“Beautiful and far too long. I checked the time twice in the middle hour and I never do that in a cinema.”
