I first saw this at eleven and again at thirty-four. Both times I came out of it quiet. Almost nothing survives that.
The bathhouse is so densely drawn I kept losing the plot to the background. Not a complaint. I paused it constantly just to look.
Watched with my niece who is seven. She was frightened at the right moments and fine by the end. I cried at the train.
