The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused, and each other.

Black and white, one set, no music for most of it, and I have never been more gripped. I rewatched it the following week just to see how it is built.
The moment the old man changes his vote I actually sat up. I have shown it to two people since and both did the same thing.
One room, ninety minutes, and I did not notice the walls closing in until someone pointed it out afterwards. Watched it on a laptop and still felt hot.
